All in Moderation

by Crystal McMahon
(Chicago, IL)

When I needed to change my diet so I could lose about 25 pounds I did some research as to how I would be able to achieve my goal without really having to exercise. I found many tips and tricks but what worked best for me was eating in moderation. Before, I always felt pressured to finish everything on my plate especially when I went out to eat say at a restaurant.

But have you looked at the portion sizes nowadays? It really is enough for two people sometimes.

I now will stop eating when I feel full and will not hesitant to ask for a take out container and that goes for wherever and whatever meal I am eating. I put down my fork and do not eat anymore the minute I feel full. This made a world of difference and has enabled me to still eat certain foods that I like, because I did not cut out all of them, I simply ate LESS of them. And yes, implementing healthier foods and beverages will further your dieting and make it longer lasting.
