The daily value of Vitamin A (including beta-carotene) and Vitamin C are relatively high at 50% each, but other vitamins or minerals are low.
Choose your cantaloupes for their golden colored skin and a fragrant scent especially at the stem area.
Avoid those fruits with moldy areas and make sure you wash them before cutting as there have been reports of agricultural contamination with bacteria.
From breakfast to dessert
This is a popular breakfast fruit.

Used in the Mediterranean and Asia, this fruit is also grown in North America in home gardens.
They are a variety of Cucumis melo and are formerly called muskmelons.
