Jackson's green tea

by Dotty
(Edinburgh)

These two Jackson's of Piccadilly (TM) teas are vital to the day.

Jackson's green tea with lemon during the day and with mint in the evening.

My husband just about clears the shelves when it is occasionally on offer.

For my taste, I would say far better quality than Twinings etc., which are a bit wishy washy, not the clean, sharp refreshing taste of Jacksons.

The proverb on the side of the lemon box rings true for me,

"Better to be deprived of food for three days than tea for one."

I have to say our Scottish water still makes the best tea for my taste.

I always take tea on holiday with me, but while it is better than none at all, it falls short of tea at home.

Think I will try bottled water as recommended and see if it makes a difference.

I like Jackson's tea also.

They have plain green tea (a Sencha blended from the Zhejiang Province of China), or flavored with lime, elderflower, in addition to the lemon and mint you talked about.

Their teas are fairtrade. They also have white tea in teabags, black tea, and claim to have the original Earl Grey recipe.

Their 200th birthday is coming up in a few years. What a life!
