Try this raspberry iced tea recipe for a luscious new refreshment using fragrant, exotically rich, juicy raspberries with your homemade iced green tea this summer.
Select ripe berries that are still firm, and wash. Deep ruby red colored berries will be sweeter, while pale ones may be a bit sour. Remove all bruised, spotted, or moldy berries.
There are several variations for a raspberry iced tea recipe.
Freeze the raspberries separately (or use frozen berries) and plunk them in your glass.
Freeze the berries inside your ice cubes.
Make a puree from fresh raspberries, adding sweetener to taste, strain out the seeds, and add a spoonful of the puree to a glass of prepared iced tea. You can also freeze the puree into interesting shapes for fun.
Use commercial berry juice. Hint: look for the ones with the least sweeteners to control calories.
