We all need weight loss tips at fast food restaurants
The food is tempting.
The price is right.
It's so convenient.
Fast food restaurants are everywhere--starting with McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, Dominos, Subway, right down to your local hamburger joint on the corner, inviting you inside.
And the next thing you know, you've ordered and eaten enough calories for a whole day.
Sometimes, enough for two days.
How can we make better choices?
Here are some simple guidelines for weight loss tips at fast food restaurants:
Think Small
Say Yes to
smaller items like small burgers, individual slices, cutting your meal in half and saving half for later.
Say No to large sizes, extra large sizes, super sizes of anything. Order large only if you're feeding 10 people.
Think Lean
Say Yes to
lower calorie chicken, turkey, or vegetable entrees rather than higher calorie beef, choosing thin crust pizza rather than thick, using low calorie condiments like mustard and ketchup, bringing your own low calorie salad dressing.
Say No to any fried foods including french fries, high fat extras like cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, or guacamole.
Think Veggies
Say Yes to asking for extra tomato and lettuce, increasing the vegetables in your take-out portion after you get home.
Say No to vegetables with high calorie cream or cheese sauces, or deep fried veggies.
Think water
Say Yes to drinking a glass of water before you go to the restaurant, having a cup of green tea with your meal, or choosing calorie-free beverages.
Say No to high calorie alcoholic drinks, beverages with added cream, sugar, or ice cream.
